what's a typical session like?
Imagine spending a morning or an afternoon exactly as you are - lounging, playing, exploring, or simply being close. Just you, your loved one(s), and the story that already exists between you.
I follow the rhythm of your day, gently and unobtrusively, documenting the moments you don’t always see, but will someday wish you could return to. I'll encourage you to remain as present as possible.
I will never force a smile, fake a moment, or rush an embrace for the sake of a photo.
what if we are awkward?
It’s not every day you have professional photos taken and it’s totally natural to feel awkward during this process.
I understand that being photographed can be both strange and uncomfortable. I also understand that a full range of emotions is part of the human experience.
I prefer to embrace this instead of shy away from it. Authentic emotion and interactions inspire my work. my goal is to create a space where you feel supported and comfortable enough to express your true self, no matter how you are feeling.
will you pose us?
I'd much rather give you the space to be yourself, You are enough.
My skill lies in observation, To see the beauty in the chaos and romanticize the seemingly mundane.
Humanity is beautiful because of its imperfections. because of the crooked seams, the raw edges, the unscripted moments that make us who we are.
You don’t need to perform or polish yourself to be worthy of being photographed.
Do you shoot film?
Yes! Most of my offerings include a mix of digital and film. Photographing with film has inspired me to be even more intentional about this work. I don't necessarily guarantee a certain amount of film in my Collections, rather intuitively incorporate it into my creative process. If you are interested in a session documented on film feel free to inquire and we can discuss your vision more.
Where are you located?
I am primarily located in Montclair, NJ, just 25 minutes outside NYC. I also frequent Cape Cod where I grew up and my family still has roots. You may notice I truly love to travel, so if you are located outside of these locations I would be more than excited to meet you there.
