what's it like to work with you on our wedding day?
Simple, uncomplicated. My focus will be on documenting you and your loved ones as they truly are in an unaltered narrative of the day.
I like to observe your day in the eyes of a guest, immersing myself in the true experience of what it was like to be present on your wedding day. Interfering with the reality of the day as little as possible.
Although my presence won’t completely go unnoticed – my aim is to create space for you to fully relish in the moment and maybe even forget you are being photographed.
what if we are awkward - will you pose us?
It’s not every day you have professional photos taken and it’s totally natural to feel awkward during this process.
I understand that being photographed can be both strange and uncomfortable. While there is a time and place for posed photos, I'd much rather give you the space to be yourselves.
My skill lies in observation, To see the beauty in human instinct, document genuine interaction, and romanticize the in between moments.
Humanity is beautiful because of its imperfections. it's what makes us who we are. You don’t need to perform or polish yourself to be worthy of being photographed. You are enough.
Do we need a second Photographer?
This is a Personal Preference. Having A 2nd photographer can provide an alternative perspective of the most important aspects of your day and might provide that extra reassurance that your day will be documented fully. Most of my Wedding Collections include one. if you are interested in a 2nd photographer we can always discuss this more on your consultation call after you inquire.
Do you shoot film?
Yes! I offer a mix of digital and film. ON wedding days, Film is something that I include when it feels right and not as an Add-on. Photographing with film has inspired me to be even more intentional about this work. I don't necessarily guarantee a certain amount of film in my Collections, rather intuitively incorporate it into my creative process. If you are interested in a wedding documented on film feel free to inquire and we can discuss your vision more.
Where are you located?
I am primarily located in Montclair, NJ – just 25 minutes outside NYC. I also frequent Cape Cod where I grew up and my family still has roots.
